Hawley Troxell Hires Attorney Steven P. Wieland

Hawley Troxell announces that Steven P. Wieland joined the firm as a litigation associate on September 6, 2011.

From 2009 to 2011, Steve Wieland was a Clerk to Justice Warren E. Jones, Idaho Supreme Court. From 2008 to 2009, Wieland was an intern at the University of Iowa Legal Clinic in Iowa City, Iowa, and received the Dean’s Award as the single top-performing clinic student. During the summer of 2008, Wieland was a summer associate for Schiff Hardin in Chicago, Illinois.

Wieland received his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Iowa College of Law where he was the Senior Note and Comment Editor for the Iowa Law Review. He earned his B.A. cum laude from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa.

Additionally, Wieland’s experience includes an externship with the Iowa U.S. District Court, and having run as a city council candidate for the Mount Vernon City Council, Mt. Vernon, Iowa.
